Hotel series : Siwilai, A Thai Crossroads

The Siwilai marketplace is a crossroads: a shop that gathers Thailand’s cultural history and an international cosmopolitan lifestyle together. From the Siamese kingdom of Ayutthaya through today’s fluctuating markets, greeted joyfully by Central Embassy luxury mall, Siwilai turn towards a whole new vision of Thai commerce, progress and style.

Like Thailand itself, Siwilai has the dynamic energy of a bustling marketplace and the serene sophistication of an international purveyor.

Internationally acclaimed design team Yabu Pushelberg was in charge of the multi brand store. Creating timeless and artistic designs worldwide for 30 years, this is Yabu Pushelberg’s first project in Thailand. Honored with the Platinum Circle Award for their exceptional achievement in the hospitality industry, partners George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg have been inducted into Interior Design magazine’s “Hall of Fame”.

Created by Barom Bhicharnchitr, Siwilai is the first Thai retail marketplace, presenting international fashion, such as Tom Browne, Maison Kitsuné, Pigalle, Common Project amongst others while mixing them with Asian designer brands such as The Only Son, Parcthai, Timo… The shop opened its doors in June 2014, and intends to become the inescapable concept store of South East Asia. Not only a shop, Siwalai will also host many international exhibitions, starting with Le Cabinet de Curiosités of Thomas Erber, and others artistic and musical events of international stature.
